Agnes Martin Hicks, 88, of Eden passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Monday, February 3, 2025, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Christian View Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm at the funeral home before the service and other times at 3526 Price Road in Eden.

Agnes was born in Stoneville on June 16, 1936, the daughter of Robert Derrian Martin and Pearl Durham Martin, both deceased.  She retired from Tultex of Mayodan and was a member of Lake View Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Phillip G. Hicks, Sr. and her brother, Jesse Lee Martin.

Agnes is survived by her children, Phillip G. Hicks, Jr. (Kay) of Eden, Phyllis Hicks London (Keith) of Tennessee, Mary Hicks Nelson (Johnny) of Sandy Ridge, Mike Hicks (Debbie of Sandy Ridge and Jeff Hicks (Tammy) of Eden; her seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
