Andrew Tuttle Meeks, Sr., 85, of Stoneville passed away on Monday morning, January 25, 2021 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, January 29, 2021 at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Andrew was born in Eden on January 27, 1935, a son of William Morris Meeks and Elizabeth Saunders Meeks, both deceased.  He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a comptroller at Morehead Memorial Hospital before becoming a self-employed CPA for over 40 years in Eden.  He had also served as a director of Home Trust Bank.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bill Meeks, Jack Meeks, Ted Meeks, Gaynelle Mitchell and Elizabeth Martin.

Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Kay S. Meeks of the home; his children, Andrew T. Meeks, Jr. and wife Julie of Wilkesboro, Karen M. Carlaw and husband Brian of Choctaw, OK; his sister, Nancy Willis of Eden; his brother, Jerry Meeks and wife Joy of Eden; his grandchildren, Meghan Meeks, Katie M. Schumacher and husband Jason, Andrew Meeks III and wife Leah, Brennan Carlaw, Addison Meeks, Elijah Meeks; and his great grandchildren, Dawson Meeks and one on the way.
