Anita Conway Hutcherson, 85, of Eden passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Ancora Compassionate Care Hospice Home.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home.

Anita was born in Henry, Virginia on May 23, 1940, a daughter of Willie J. Conway and Lenna Shelton Conway, both deceased.  She was the cafeteria manager at Stoneville School for many years before opening her own restaurant, Granny's Kitchen.  She was a member of Eden Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, William Clifton Conway and Paul Conway.

Anita is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold George Hutcherson of the home; her children, Tammy H. Turner of Wilmington and David J. Hutcherson of Eden; her sisters, Eloise Martin (Scooter) of Stoneville, Wanda Wynn of Gaithersburg, MD, Phyllis Gendron (Greg) of Stoneville; her grandchildren, Amanda Turner Johnson (Kyle), Hogan Turner (Emily), Megan Hutcherson DeWitt (Ty), Morgan Hutcherson, Erika Hutcherson; and her great grandchildren, Grayson Turner, Vivian Johnson, Evie Turner and Sutton Johnson.
