Ann Soyars Shelton, 77, of Eden passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at her home.

A service of remembrance will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany with The Rev. Linda Nye officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 am before the service at the church.

Ann was born in Rockingham County on May 29, 1944, the daughter of James Cabel Soyars and Louise Griggs Soyars, both deceased.  She was retired from Rockingham Community College.  She was a member of the Junior Women's League for many years and a diehard Carolina fan.  She was a faithful member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Shelton.

Ann is survived by her sons, Robby Shelton and wife Becky of Eden, and Todd Shelton and wife Rhonda of Eden; her grandson, Justin Carter; her great grandchildren, Amelia Carter and Logan Wilson; her gran nieces, Emily and Autumn.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Sylvia Fulcher for her faithful service as a sitter for Ann.
