April Dawn Shelton Light, 52, of Ruffin passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021at UNC Rockingham.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home chapel. There will be no formal visitation.

She was born in Eden on March 28, 1969 to Marvin Shelton and Shirley Hendrick Shelton, both deceased. She worked as a CNA.

April is survived by her husband, Joseph "Joey" Light of the home; her sisters, Virginia Cochran of Reidsville and Angie Ayers and husband, Artie of Eden and her grandson, Hayden Light.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
