Barbara Boothe Hand, 83, of Eden passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm before the service at the funeral home.

Barbara was born in Cascade, Virginia on February 27, 1942, a daughter of Jesse Madison Boothe and Mary Florence Allen Boothe, both deceased.  She retired from Fieldcrest Mills and a member of Willis Memorial Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother,  grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Jesse F. Hand; her son, Robert "Bobby" Hand; and her siblings, Terry Boothe, Brenda Land, Ronald Boothe and Larry Boothe.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Tammy Seagraves (Larry) of Eden; her son, Jesse Hand, Jr. of Eden; her siblings, Mary Boothe of Ridgeway, VA, Geraldine Carter of Eden, Joann Denny (Harold) of Eden, Frank Boothe (Margaret) of Eden, Kenneth Boothe (Judy) of Eden, Jerry Boothe (Lou Ann) of Eden, Janice Reese of Eden; her grandchildren, Logan Manuel Chidester "her youngest baby" (Aaron), Jessica Hand, Lauren Stewart, Leah Cuppelman; and her great grandchildren, Grace and Gauge.
