Barbara Jean Kennon Rich, 80, went to be with the Lord, Monday, May 2, 2022, at UNC Rockingham Healthcare in Eden, NC following declining health.

The funeral service will be 2:00PM Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:00PM, and other times at the residence, 571 Quesinberry Rd, Eden.

Barbara was born in 1941 in Danville, VA, the daughter of the late Mary Midkiff Kennon, and Onist Pinkiney Kennon. She retired from Camelot Nursing Home, and attended True Hope Church in Eden. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Martin.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Rich of the home; her children, Glenn (Joanie) Nations, Debra (Sam) Jones, Phillip (Karen) Nations, and Angela (Steve) Webb, as well as 6 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the love, support, and care given to their mother by Marsha (her niece), and Geoffrey Thacker.
