Beline Dew Sheckells, 72, of Eden passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 until 8 pm on Thursday at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home.

Beline was born in Eden on February 2, 1949, the daughter of William Franklin Dew and Fern Chandler Dew, both deceased.  She was retired from Douglas Elementary School with 30 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Booker Tuttle Sheckells.

Beline is survived by her daughter, Sonia Sheckells of Eden; her son, Kenan Sheckells of Eden; and her grandchildren, Landon Sheckells, Katilyn Sheckells and Kaleb Hale.
