Betty Faye Prevatte Freeman, 81, of Eden passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Friday, February 11, 2022 at Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the home of her granddaughter, 109 S. Lonesome Road in Madison.

Betty was born in St. Pauls, NC on August 14, 1940, a daughter of Herbert William Prevatte and Sadie Cashwell Prevatte, both deceased.  She was a retired cotton mill worker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Freeman and her son, David Freeman.

Betty is survived by her son, Kenneth Freeman and wife Lisa of Reidsville; her sisters, Mary Beard of St. Pauls, NC and Bess Willis of Hope Mills, NC; her grandchildren, Ashley Caldwell and husband Jason, John Freeman, Jeremy Freeman; and her great grandchildren, Aiden Caldwell and Addyson Caldwell.
