Billy Randolph Burchell, Jr., 65, of Stoneville passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at UNC Rockingham Healthcare.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 11 am until 12 pm before the service at the funeral home and after the service at Gospel Road Baptist Church, 195 Meeks Road in Eden where a meal will be provided for family and friends.

Billy was born in Eden on August 8, 1959, a son of Billy Randolph Burchell, Sr. and Blanche Odell Burchell, both deceased.  He liked watching weather, sports, poker, wrestling and True Crime and Westerns on television.  He loved to fish and watch the rabbits play in the yard.  He loved the Lord, his family and church family.  He especially loved spending time with his grandson, Austin.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Billy "Buz" R. Burchell III; his granddaughter, Brianna Mabe; and his stepdaughter, Kelly Dionne Mabe.

Billy is survived by his wife, Nona Westmoreland Burchell; his daughter, Samantha Burnette (Buck); his step son, Richard Mabe (Christy); his brothers, Tommy Burchell, Glenn Patrick Burchell (Pat); his sister, Myra Jane Burchell; his special grandchildren, Autumn and Austin Burchell;  his special step grandchildren, Amber Mabe, Dustin Hawkins; and his step great grandchildren, Lhiam Mabe, Rhylen Mabe, Sophia Sharpe and Abrielle Binnabose.
