Billy Joe Etheridge, 62, of Eden passed away on Monday morning, February 24, 2025, at his home with his loving wife of 18 years next to him.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Northside Baptist Church on Aiken Road in Eden with Pastor Matt Norman officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm at the church before the service and other times at the home.

Joe was born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 12, 1962, a son of Billy Morten Etheridge and Joyce Ann Spivey Etheridge.  He was a cook, amazing step father, loving grandfather, and a tremendously humble and kind man.

He was predeceased by mother and father; his brother, Timothy Scott; his aunt, Norma Frans (Jerry); and his son-in-law, Curtis Hood.

Joe is survived by his spouse, Debra Hyler of the home and their fur baby, Cinnabon; his children, Krystal Hyler Smith (Chris) and Jennifer Hyler Hood, all of Eden; his siblings, Shirley Miller (Roy) of Tennessee, Deborah Perkins of Eden, Sharon Parrish (Ken) of Alabama, Patricia Scott of Eden, Clyde Scott (Porché) of Tennessee and Jeff Etheridge (Brenda) of Yadkinville; his grandchildren, Kacy Smith, Wesley Hood, Maggie Hood; his special twins, Faye Wray and Mae Reinert; his uncle, Larry Spivey; many adopted grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
