Bobby Gene Stratton,89, of Eden passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at his residence.

A graveside service of remembrance will be held on Saturday November 2, 2024, at 2 pm at Dan View Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the funeral at 1214 Forest Road in Eden.

Bobby was born in Post, Texas a son of Jessie McKinnley Stratton and Margie Williams Stratton, both deceased. He was the owner and operator of Stratton Appliance Store. He was a member of the Red Man Association. He was a Navy Veteran who served in the Korean War on the USS Donna.

Bobby is survived by his sons, Jerry Stratton and wife, Kathy of Eden and Marty Roberts and wife, Ruth of Mayodan; his daughter, Phillis Woods of Eden; his grandchildren, Pam Lucas, Tristan Woods, Kammara Scott, Joshua Roberts and Bethany Martin; his great grandchildren, Mason Church, Jessie Church, Hunter Lucas, Ayla Woods, Landyn Scott, Lacey Martin, Noah Martin and Rosie Ray Martin and his great-great grandchild, Drayton Church.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Robinson Stratton and his siblings, Everette Stratton, Margaret Steel and Charles Stratton and wife, Eva Mae.
