Brenda Lou Evans Shelton, 77, passed away, Monday, July 5, 2021 at UNC Rockingham Healthcare.

The funeral service will be 4:00 Friday, July 9, 2021 at Happy Home Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the church on Friday.

Brenda was born in Rockingham County on February 27, 1944, to the late Ambrose Daniel Evans, Sr., and Lou Ida McBride Evans. She was a faithful member of Happy Home Church, as well as a member of the Willing Workers Circle. Brenda was active with the Ruffin High School class reunions and enjoyed attending while her health allowed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Earl Doss; siblings, Virginia Evans Moore, Nancy Setliff, and Danny Evans, Jr.; and niece, Donna Johnson and husband Ron; and her fur babies, Ashley and Bob.

She is survived by her sister, Janet Cooper; nieces and nephews, Dana Blankenship and husband Gordon, Karen Mason and husband Tim, Paula Evans, Terry Moore and wife Mary Beth, Sherry Pruitt and husband Mike, Daniel Evans, III. and wife Karen, and Amanda Willard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
