Brewster "Bruce" Thomas Pike, 87, of Eden, passed away on Monday September 4, 2023, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 11am at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lawson Cemetery.

Bruce was born on January 26, 1936, the son of Samuel Moses Pike and Nancy Ellen Pike, both deceased. He worked as a forklift driver at Karastan Rug Mill until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Cornelia Moorefield Pike of the home; his sons, Alan Pike and wife, Debbie of Eden and Alvis Pike of Eden; his sisters; Maxine Boothe of Eden and Beaulah Grindstaff and husband, Kenneth of Elizabethtown, TN; his grandchildren, Chris Pike and wife, Stephanie, Brad Pike, Emily Pike, Cieara Joyce and husband, Chris and Devin Pike and wife, Caitlyn and his great grandchildren, Cole, Thomas, Kadalyn, Emerson, Mason, Holden, Kaleb and Avery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7pm on Wednesday evening, September 6, 2023, at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Alan Pike, 351 Quesinberry Road, Eden, NC.

The family would like to thank Dr. Terry Daniel, Dr. Everett Ribakove, and Hospice of Rockingham County for all they did for Mr. Pike during his illness.

Memorials may be made in memory of Bruce to the church of their choice or to Rockingham County Hospice.
