Carolyn May Powell Burleson, 79, of Reidsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Gibson House Hospice Home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Church of the Living God, 426 Thomas Street in Eden.  Flowers may be delivered to the church after 12 noon on Monday.

Carolyn was born in Eden on April 13, 1945, the daughter of Lonzie Okley Powell and Nannie May Cheshire Powell, both deceased.  She was a retired CNA.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her children, Sherwood Forsyth Lewis, Lonzie Michael Lewis; and her brother, Larry Powell.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Tina Pulliam of Eden, Renee Newman (James) of Reidsville, Teresa Lewis of Eden and Timothy Lewis of Eden; her brothers, Talmadge Powell of Tennessee and Tony Powell of Eden; and several grandchiildren and great grandchildren.
