Cathy Lynn Stone Stophel, 70, of Ruffin passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cathy was born in West Virginia on March 23, 1955, a daughter of Harry Stone and Catherine Wittington Stone, both deceased.  She was a truck driver with Mabe Trucking for over 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Randall Wayne Stophel of the home; her brother, Harry "Freddie" Stone of Seebert, WV; and her sister, Deborah Brown (Everette) of Canton, Ohio.
