Chad Mitchell Smith, 47, of Eden passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at his home.

There will be no services.

Chad was born in Los Angeles, California on February 17, 1974, a son of Dreama Barnes Smith and the late Jasper Emerson Smith.  He was a painter and dry wall installer.  His passion was music and played drums for many years.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Justin Smith and Jackie Jones.

Chad is survived by his wife, Wendy Williams Smith; his children, Katherine Ann Smith, Lawrence Mitchell Smith and Cassidy Marie Smith, all of Eden; his mother, Dreama Barnes; and his siblings, Jasper Smith, Jr. of Reidsville, Randy Smith of Reidsville, Ricky Smith of Virginia, Charlotte Watson of Burlington, Debbie Kennon of Eden and Jessica Smith of Virginia.
