Cheryl Lynn Dalton, 68, of Madison, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Hospice of the Piedmont.

To honor her wishes, there will be no services.

Cheryl was born in Corona, California on February 28, 1953, a daughter of David Tyner Dalton and Helen Settle Dalton, both deceased. She graduated from Bennett College in 1987 with a double major in Special Education and Early Childhood.  She moved to Sacramento, California shortly after graduation and became a teacher in the California School System as well as the Sacramento Social Work System for almost 20 years.  She relocated back to North Carolina in 2000 to help care for her father.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Eric Dion Dalton.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Dwala Mechean Dalton of Seattle, Washington; her siblings, Tyra Helene Dalton Hinton of Eden, Vinton Arness Dalton of Mayodan, Ginger Kealoha Dalton of High Point; and her nephews, Adolphus Hinton, Micah Dalton and William Dalton.

Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home in Eden is serving the family of Ms. Dalton.
