Christopher Joseph Camplese, 70, of Reidsville passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

Christopher was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on March 14, 1956, a son of James Lewis Camplese, Sr. and Bridgett Gallagher Camplese, both deceased. He worked as commercial construction foreman and a chef by trade as well, owning his own restaurant.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Anthony Camplese and Rosemary Camplese Lacy.

Christopher is survived by his wife, Betty Reed Camplese; his children, Jennifer Bailey (Ian) of Wentworth and Mark Pruitt (Lisa) of Ridgeway, VA; his siblings, Patricia Hadlock of Ohio and James Camplese Jr. (Donna) of Ohio; his grandchildren, Ashlyn and Morgan Bailey, Scotlyn and Evan Pruitt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
