Christopher Blue Moretz, 92, of Eden passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at his residence.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.

Christopher was born in Eden on November 5, 1934, a son of Byron Eugene Moretz and Jessie Giles Moretz, both deceased. He retired from McMichael Mills.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Norma Jean Handy Moretz and his siblings, Charlie Moretz, Eugene Moretz, Doris Tilley, Ruby Bowers, Joy Rogers, Jewel Helms and Irene Meeks.

Christopher is survived by his children, Susan Watkins and Lee Moretz, both of Eden; his grandchildren, Carter Watkins and Abigail Watkins; and his niece, Daphine Vernon.
