Christopher Allen Sims, 44, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026. There will be a service on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 2pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home. Visitation will be before the service at 1pm. Interment at Holland Farm Cemetery.

Chris was born on December 16, 1981 to Douglas Edward Sims Jr (Eddie) and Tonya Miller Young. He worked as a truck driver for Herc Rentals. He had a great love for his pets, River, Bella, and his fat cat Lioness. He had a smile that would light up a room. Chris also loved to ride motorcycles. He said riding was his peace and his sanity. Above all else, he loved his daughter Riley, with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Edward Sims Jr (Eddie); and his beloved dog Hooch.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Riley Sims of Eden; his mother, Tonya M. Young of Stoneville; his sister, Chelsey Walker (Dennis) of Ruffin; his uncle, Darrell Miller of Stoneville; his best friends, Craig Wood, Bruce Hall, and Alan Perkins; and he leaves behind many childhood friends and loved ones.
