Obituary

Claude R. Levesque, 87 years old, passed away on March 27, 2023, at Yanceyville Rehab Center in Yanceyville, NC.

He was born February 2, 1936, in Lewiston, Maine.

Claude proudly served in Korea in the Army.

Claude spent most of his years in Hartford Connecticut. He worked at Hartford Public Works Department and received several public service awards while working there.

When he retired, Claude moved from Connecticut to Eden, North Carolina in 1994.

He is predeceased by his mother and father, Rachel Marie Begin and Ernest Levesque, his sister Claudette LaPointe, his brother Robert Bolduc, and his beloved partner, Jean Pony.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth LeVesque of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Doris Ackerly of Charlottesville, New York, and Teresa and Donnie Lea of Eden, North Carolina.

Claude was very artistic and creative. He loved doing intricate designs in woodworking, furniture repair, wall papering, and working puzzles. He was always trying to fix or repair something.

Claude was proud to be an American, a veteran who served his country, and he loved people.

He would want us to give special recognition and thanks to Brian Center of Eden, North Carolina, and Yanceyville Rehab Center in Yanceyville, North Carolina for the care they gave him in his later years.

We celebrate his life with a memorial on Wednesday, April 5, at 11 AM at Boone & Cooke Funeral Services in Eden, North Carolina. Military Rites will be performed by the North Carolina National Guard, and the Rockingham County Veterans Honor Guard.
