Constance "Connie" Saul Cates, 76, of Eden passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at her residence.

A service of remembrance will be held at 1 pm Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Eden Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 pm on Saturday at the church before the service and other times at the residence.

Connie was born in Eden on January 4, 1946, a daughter of Charles Wordie Saul and Leila Sams Saul, both deceased. She worked for the Rockingham County Schools as a teachers aid. She was a member of Eden Baptist Church where Connie had a special love for all her church members.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Jill Richardson and husband, Kirby of Stoneville: her sons, Brian Aaron of Eden and Jason Aaron of Mayodan; her sisters, Faye Hill of Eden, Ann Wright and husband, Jim of Pelham and Debbie Benton of Eden; her grandchildren, Ryan Richardson, Kaleb Richardson, Ethan Aaron, Caylee Aaron and Abbie Aaron; numerous special nieces; one special nephew and her precious furbaby, Phoebe.

In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by her husband, Richard Owens Cates; her son, Mike Aaron; and her sisters, Maxine Stiner, June Benson, and Ardell Stovall.
