Curtis Wayne Hood Jr (44) of Eden, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on Wednesday, August 11th, 2021.  He was surrounded by love and his family.

A service of remembrance will be held at 7 pm on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 pm before the service at the funeral home.  The service will be live streamed on the Boone & Cooke Facebook page.

Curtis was born in Eden on July 5th, 1977, to Curtis Wayne Hood (father) and Deborah Barker Turley (mother). He was a dedicated, devoted, and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and a loyal friend always.  Curtis was married to his soulmate and the love of his life for 10 wonderful years. He took pride at being a stay at home "Pops" for the first 4 years of his babies' life. Just to see him light up like he did when he was with them, could melt your heart.

Curtis was a proud member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, and he loved his Savior. His personality was big, strong, a jokester, the life of any group and made a huge presence in everyone's life that he touched. His family was his life, and don't even think about missing a Tuesday night family dinner. He wasn't having any part of it and would make sure that you knew it with love. He loved spending time with his family and friends joking around, playing pool, four wheeling, sharing his love for firearms, bonfires, floating the river, listening to music, camping, fishing or just sitting around for amazing conversation. His love for the outdoors and the wonderful adventures will live on in his children and his family.

Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Wayne Hood; his grandmothers, Maggie Hood and Francis Shreve of Eden; his Aunt and Uncle Sandra & David Johnson.

Curtis was survived by his wife, Jennifer Hyler Hood of the home; his son, Wesley (4) and his daughter, Maggie (3); his mother, Deborah; his sisters, Crystal and Ti Ti (Tiffany) all of Eden; his nieces, Marisa and Kacy; his nephews, Travis & Christopher, all of Eden; his aunt, Rhonda of Stoneville; his cousins, Gail and family of Virginia, Wendy of Florida, Jeremy and family of Indiana, and Josh and family of Concord; his mother-in-law, Debra Hyler (Joe) of Eden and sister-in-law, Krystal (Chris) of Draper.
