Darrell Wesley Hurd, Sr., 59, of Eden passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at his home.

A private family burial will be held.

Darrell was born in Rockingham County on October 6, 1962, a son of John Wesley Hurd and Lera Ann Foley Hurd, both deceased.  He worked for Beroth Tire Co.

He is survived by his sons, Darrell Wesley Hurd, Jr. and wife Dorothy and Chris Jarrell; his siblings, Susie Hurd Allen of Eden, Donnie Hurd of Eden, Robert Hurd and wife Elizabeth of Eden, Eddie Hurd of Richmond, KY; his grandchildren, Bryson Jarrell, Kaleigh Jarrell and Brooklyn-Bailey Cape Hurd.
