Dave Garrard, 77, of Eden passed away on Monday morning, November 23, 2020 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Dave was born in Durham on August 7, 1943, a son of Hubert Lee Garrard and Lottie Estelle Garrard, both deceased.  He proudly served his country in the National Guard and formerly worked for American Tobacco Co.

Dave is survived by his wife, Ellen Terrell Garrard, of the home; his sons, Craig Garrard of Carolina Beach and Matt Garrard of Greensboro; his brother, Dan Garrard of Durham; and his sister, Brenda Garrard Chaney of Charlotte.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Rockingham Co. Humane Society, 205 Boone Road, Eden, NC 27289.
