David Lee Higbee, Sr., 84, of Eden passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at his home.

A time of visitation will be held from 2 until 4 pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

David was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 9, 1937, a son of Paul and Pauline Higbee, both deceased.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Nora "Queenie" Higbee and his beloved dog, Patches.

David was retired from the U.S. Army and the Department of the Navy as a Material Handler.

He is survived by his sons, David L. Higbee, Jr. (Rosie) of New Jersey, John P. Higbee (Lisa) of New Jersey; his daughters, Shirley Kemmerlin of Eden, April J. DiGiorgio (Vinny) of Florida, Penney Higbee (Andy) of New Jersey; his brother, Daniel Higbee of Eden; his brothers-in-law, Frank, Harry and Joseph, all of New Jersey; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Holly, Kyle, Jessica, Kasey, James, Meagan and Brandon; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Liliana, Rylee, Gunner, Makayla, Emily, Cali and Toby; his nieces, Kelli Morris, (Gary) of Eden, Kimberly Widener (Scott) of Kernersville; and many more extended family members.
