"DJ" David Ray Mabe, Jr., age 30, passed away on August 25, 2025

Born on June 10, 1995, DJ was known for his good heart, strong work ethic, and the love he carried for the people around him.

From a young age, DJ worked hard and never shied away from responsibility.  He found peace and joy in the outdoors, especially carp fishing, where he could spend quiet time on the water.  He also had a passion for landscaping, creating beauty with his hands and leaving lasting impressions through his work.  DJ was proud of his work with Sands Landscaping, where he dedicated his time and talents to projects that reflected his care and craftsmanship.

DJ is survived by his father, David Mabe, Sr. and stepmother, Misty Strader Mabe; his mother, Jennefier Moody Mabe; his brother, Kristian Mabe; his stepsister, Casey Strader; his stepbrother, Austin Strader; and his grandmother, Margaret Moody.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald Moody and Judy Mabe.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and friends.  DJ's kindness, laughter and love of the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
