Donald Roy Brackett, Sr., 87, of Oak Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Kernersville Medical Center.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donald was born in Bingham, Maine on April 9, 1935, a son of Orestes Rodman Brackett and Ruby Morrison Brackett, both deceased. Preceding his death were his youngest son, Donald Roy Brackett, Jr. (Juli); brothers; Clyde (Helen), of Sarasota, Florida and Philip (Sandy), of Rockford, Illinois, and an infant sister, Jane. Don was a military veteran of the United States Army, and a bus driver/monitor for the Guilford County School System until he retired, at age 84, to care for his wife.

He is survived by his wife, of 65 years, Norma Deep Brackett; His son, Matthew Brackett; his daughter, Jeannine Brackett-Griffin (Jay); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and many more loving family members and friends…too many to list, but all much loved by him.
