Clarence "Doug" Marvin Joyce, 88, of Eden passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Brookdale Senior Living of Burlington.

Doug was born on May 13,1937 the son of Thomas Christopher Joyce and Grace Fulp Joyce, both deceased. He was a veteran of the US Army.  He was in the banking business his entire working career serving as branch manager at Leaksville Bank & Trust, Southern National Bank, NCNB, Nation's Bank and Bank of America.

Doug had a quiet but unwavering faith, He was a man of integrity, honor, honesty and sincerity.  He loved serving alongside the men's fellowship group at Leaksville Moravian Church, where he was a member for 60 years.  His proudest position and role in this earthly life was being "GrandDaddy" to his four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Daisy Isabelle Joyce.

Doug is survived by his son, Stephen Joyce (Autumn) of Burlington; his sister, Betty Aheron (Jack) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Kennedy, Kyndall, Kameron, Karlie-Ann; and his niece, Michelle O'Hara (Shawn).

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Ridge-View Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 am before the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Leaksville Moravian Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
