Edith Mae Hunt Barker, 87, of Eden passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

A service of remembrance will be held at 1 pm Monday, January 3, 2022 at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 pm before the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Edith was born in Thomasville on April 9, 1934, a daughter of Ira Hunt and Pearl Willett Hunt, both deceased.  She was retired from Anvil Brand.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dock Daufed Barker; her sister, Frances Russell and her brother, Odell Hunt.

Edith is survived by her children, Lori Manns and husband Monfread of Orange, CA, Wesley Barker of Eden, Tim Barker and wife Marcy of Eden, Amber Jarrell and husband Brian of Eden, Doug Cline and wife Ranita of Thomasville, Diane Cobb and husband Rick of Taylor, SC; her brothers, Harold Hunt of Snead Ferry, NC, Bobby Hunt and wife Nikki of Thomasville; her 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
