On Friday, March 31, 2023, Elaine Gordon Brown, passed away at the age of 68 surrounded by family at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC, after a battle with lung cancer.

Elaine was born on December 13, 1954, in Gastonia, NC as the youngest of four daughters of J.C. and Marie (Barnhill) Gordon.

Elaine was preceded in death by her father, J.C. Gordon, her mother, Marie Barnhill Gordon, and her sisters, Dianne Gordon Myers and Sandra Gayle Gordon Petrey. She is survived by her son, James Connor Brown, her sister, Jeannie Gordon Brown, and her former husband, Frederick Michael Brown. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20 ^th , 2023, at First Presbyterian Church in Eden, NC at 582 Southwood Dr, Eden, NC 27288 at 12 o'clock p.m.
