Elaine Ward Thomas, 87, of Mayodan, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at North Pointe of Mayodan.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Elaine was born in Greensboro on May 19, 1933, a daughter of Clyde Turner Ward and Esther Lethco Ward, both deceased.  She was a retired finance advisor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Moffatt Webster Thomas, Jr. and her siblings, Max Ward, Arnold Ward, Wink Ward and Martha Smith.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Crawley of Danbury, Amanda Payne and husband Billy of Sandy Ridge, Louise "Lou Anne" Lewis and husband Ronnie of Eden, Moffatt "Tommy" Thomas, III of Stoneville; her grandchildren, Sydney, Jordan, Chris, Misty, Amy, Jamie, Jennifer and 10 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
