Fletcher Elbert Dalton, 85, of Madison passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Piney Grove Nursing & Rehabilitation in Kernersville, NC.

Fletcher was born in Madison on July 23, 1939, the son of Elbert Dalton and Mable Galloway Dalton, both deceased.  He served his country in the US Army for 6 years and later worked as a news editor for different newspapers in Boston, Massachusetts.

He is survived by his cousins, Linda Lowe and husband Samuel, Brenda Lowe and Husband Michael and Matt Bryant, and his nephew Byron Freeman.
