Floyd Douglas Brooks, 65, of Mayodan passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Annie Penn Hospital.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 12:15pm at Blue Creek Cemetery in Eden with Dr. Peter Isley officiating.  A visitation will be held from 11am until 12pm prior to the service at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home.

Floyd was born in Rockingham County on May 12, 1956, a son of Lloyd Douglas Brooks and Clementine Joyce Brooks, both deceased. He retired from Unifi as a fixer with over 45 years of service.

He is survived by his soul mate and best friend, Linda M. Hylton of the home; his children, Craig Hylton and wife, Tanya of Eden, and Teresa Hylton of Eden; his brothers, Daryl Brooks of California, and Leon Brooks of Boston Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Cody Muncy and Nova Grace Hylton whom he considered his heart and his everything and his special friend, Charlie Lester.

In addition to the visitation the family will receive friends at the home of his son and daughter in law, Craig and Tanya Hylton, 195 Floyd Road, Eden NC.
