Forrest “Wayne” Talley, 70, of Reidsville, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Penn Nursing Center.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12 pm on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.

Wayne was a long-term resident of Rouses Group Homes II and was the son of Forrest and Becky Talley. He was affectionately known by many nicknames, including Talley Man and the Sheriff. He wore his “badge” with pride. Wayne was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and loved singing along with Barney cartoons. His favorite station was 2, with two fingers up. He loved McDonald’s cheeseburgers and Coca Cola. Wayne was well known throughout the county for his infectious smile, beautiful blue eyes, always waving and saying, “give me a call”.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Talley; his mother, Rebecca Bulla Talley and his brothers, David and Kenny Talley.

Wayne was blessed with many beloved caregivers, friends, and providers, who regularly went above and beyond to provide him with love and support. He was loved by all the people’s lives he touched.
