Frances "Jean" Dyer Nelson, 90, of Stoneville passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at UNC Rockingham Hospital.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2 pm Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm before the service at the funeral home and other times at 194 Nelson Road in Stoneville.

Jean was born in Eden on October 3, 1934, a daughter of Randall Lyman Dyer and Pansy Bram Dyer, both deceased.  She retired from Fieldcrest Mills.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Everette Lynn Nelson; her children, Everette Lynn Nelson, Jr., Moyer Nelson and Cynthia Lynn Nelson; and her siblings, John Mark Dyer and Winfred Ike Dyer (Peggy).

Jean is survived by her sister, Addie Barker of Eden; her brothers, Jack Dyer of Eden, Watt Dyer (Jeanette) of Eden and Rufus Dyer of Maryland; her granddaughters, Kayla Nelson (William) and April Williams (Chris); and her great grandchildren, Abbie and Eli Nelson, Harper, Clarissa and Luke Williams.
