Garnett Gilley Dunn, 79, of Eden went to be with Jesus on Monday, September 28, 2020 at the home of her stepdaughter, MeLinda Dunn.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Garnett was born in Rockingham County on November 4, 1940, a daughter of Albert Matthew Gilley and Mamie Arnold Gilley, both deceased.  She was an avid dog lover.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Pete Dunn and her brother, Douglas Gilley.

She is survived by her step children, MeLinda Dunn, Wayne Dunn of Eden, Tammy Manning and husband Walter of Greenville, NC; her loving precious dog, Peanut and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Rockingham County for the loving care given to Garnett.
