Garnett Lee Edwards, 69, of Ruffin, passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Happy Home Church Cemetery.

Garnett was born in Eden on February 10, 1951, a son of Edgar Worth Edwards and Rachel Dix Edwards, both deceased.  He retired with 48 years of service at Karastan Rug Mill.  He enjoyed working on cars and had many close friends.  He was a wonderful family man.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell Edwards and Walter Edwards; and his brother-in-law, James Delancey.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen Willard Edwards; his children, Jennifer Edwards of Ruffin, Michael Edwards of Ruffin, Gary Edwards and wife Christy of Reidsville, Marissa Edwards of Ruffin; his siblings, Stella Pratt and husband Bailey of Eden, Sue Strader and husband Dennis of Ruffin, Kay Delancey of Ruffin, Lynn Wilson of Ruffin, Charles Edwards of Reidsville; his grandchildren, Brittany Wilson, Dylan Edwards, Cooper Edwards; and his great grandchild, Cam Kind.
