George Ray Gill, 61, of Eden passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Novant Forsyth Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

George was born in Gaffney, SC on December 21, 1958, a son of Willie Charles Gill and Ida Mae Littlejohn Gill, both deceased.  He was a recreation director for the City of Eden.

He is survived by his fiancé, Ann Martin of Roanoke, VA; his children, Sharhonda Holly of Eden, Quincy Howard and wife Felicia of Bridgeport, CT, Tamisha Preston and husband Michael of Hamden CT, Chiquita Thomas of Stafford, VA, Shantel Gill of Eden, Marcus Watterson and wife Tilakam of Myrtle Beach, SC; his siblings, Willie Littlejohn and wife Beverly of California, Jaqueline Shinn, Beverly Gill, and Janet Brooks and husband Tone, all of Connecticut, Donald Gill and wife Cindy and Dorothy Gill, all of Eden; his 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
