Geraldine Nelson Law, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Forsyth Memorial Park with the Reverend Chris Nelson officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 pm Friday, March 11, 2022 at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Geraldine was born on February 2, 1942 to Opal Burchette Nelson and Reverend W.T. Nelson, both deceased. Affectionately known as Maggie, she was co-owner and operator of Law's Home and Auto Supply and Law Enterprises. She never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a warm smile. She loved playing the piano, gardening and giving back to her community, serving as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Dan View Cemetery for nearly 40 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Vaughan (Victor) of Macon, GA, Dawn Doerr (Michael) of the home; her son, Timothy Combs of Macon, GA; her grandchildren, Brandy Livingston, Heather Bryant (Blake), Mandy Edwards (Stuart), LeAnne Callahan, Amber Strader, Brandon Cook, Jeffrey Vaughan and Ethan Doerr; her great grandchildren, Kobe Livingston, Lane Livingston, Allie Livingston, Landon Bryant, Lexi Bryant, Tyson Edwards, Hunter Edwards, Savannah Martin, Kenley Strader, Aria Strader and Daxx Strader; her brother, Dennis Nelson; and her sister, Sandra Roberson (Grady) and Cathy Wood (Jim).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Law and her great grandson, Trevor Lee Williamson.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Rockingham County along with a very special thank you to her caregivers, Hannah and Vanessa.
