Gerardo Loma Platanero, 22, passed away, Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Holy Infant Catholic Church in Reidsville with Father Frank Seabo officiating. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Mr. Platanero will lie in state from 12:00 Noon Monday, May 9, 2022, until the time of the Mass on Tuesday at the church.

Gerardo was a young man who loved spending time with his daughters, who loved cars, and loved listening to music. His mom was by his side everywhere he went. He always helped everyone, and never said no. He always kept a smile on his face no matter what the situation was. He was very excited knowing that he was expecting another baby.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Platanero; girlfriend, Maria Padrón; siblings, Arlette, George, Alexander, and William; brother-in-law, Christopher; and sister-in-law, Estrella; nieces and nephews, Ulysses, Aretzi, and Itzel; close friends, Terrell, Jonathan, Jessica, and Bryan; daughters, Julissa and Jenesis Loma, as well as one on the way; and by his father, Gerardo Loma.
