Gladys Brinkley Perez, 55, of Pelham, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at her residence.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3 pm on February 21, 2026 at 4555 Old US 29 Hwy, Pelham, NC 27311.

Gladys was born in Clearwater, Florida on December 31, 1970, a daughter of Clara Jean Purnell and the late James Rufus Brinkley.  She was a homemaker.

Gladys is survived by her husband, Benito Perez of the home; her children, Keith Allen Brown of Pelham and Kevin Andrew Brown (Michelle) of Pelham; her mother, Clara Jean Purnell of Keeling, Virginia; her sister, Jayemie Renea Hanlon of Keeling, Virginia; and her grandson, Kayden Andrew Brown.
