Gloria Jean Lawrence Smith, 68, of Eden passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 until 8 pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home.

Gloria was born in Martinsville, VA on February 25, 1954, a daughter of Homer D. Lawrence and Earline Hendricks Lawrence, both deceased.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.  She was a member of Charity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, April Lawrence of Axton and Matthew Smith of Eden; her sisters, Darlene Riddle of Eden and Kathy Lawrence Boitnott of Axton, VA; and her grandson, Nicholas Lawrence.
