Ina Fay Ireland, 95 years old, received her eternal reward on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at UNC Rockingham Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center, Eden, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 3rd at the Church of God of Prophecy at 13811 Old State Hwy 87 N, Eden, NC 27288.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1-2 pm) at the church and other times at the home of her daughter.

Ina was born on November 21, 1928 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Musser Darby, sister, Lois Marie Darby, father, Thomas Glenn Darby, husband, Esmond (Irish) Arleigh Ireland.

She is survived by her son, Tom Ireland (Karen) of Florissant, Colorado; daughter, Glenna Herod (Les) of Eden, NC; grandchildren, Adam Herod, Shannon Ireland, Heather Ireland, Tiffany Ireland, Mollie Cowan, Zachary Ireland, Caleb Morgan, Justin Morgan; nine great grandchildren; cousin, Rayma Haverland of Mt. Angel, Oregon; and many dear friends who loved her very much.  She was lovingly cared for in her last few months by Karen Gibson, an angel to our family.
