Jack Irvin Burchell, 69, of Eden passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home.

Jack was born in Patrick County, VA on July 16, 1953, a son of Louise Foley Danley and the late Cabel Jackson Burchell, Jr.  He was a retired house painter. He was the #1 Papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lois Corum, and his sister, Annette Gibbs.

Jack is survived by his wife of 16 years, Charlotte Campbell Burchell of the home; his children, Matthew Burchell and wife Staci of Eden, Billie Jo Corum and fiancé, Daniel Hall of Eden, Bobbie Jo Harris of Eden and John Corum of Eden; his mother Louise Foley Danley of Eden; his siblings. Bobby Burchell and wife Tina of Reidsville, Jimmy Burchell and wife Barbara of Siler City, Tim Gibbs of Eden, Henry Gibbs and wife Lisa of Danville, Mary Lisa Gibbs of Florida and Allison Jo Gibbs of West Virginia; his nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
