Jackie Lee Reese, 78, of Ruffin passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at his residence.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 2pm at Dan View Cemetery with Pastor Butch Salmons and Pastor Terry Dalton officiating.  The family will receive friends for 30 minutes prior to the service at the graveside.  Friends may pay their respects and view Mr. Reese at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home from 9am until 1 pm on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025 and from 9 am until 12 pm on Monday, Nov. 10.

Jackie was born in Eden on March 28, 1947, a son of Clyde Ernest Reese and Ruby Pruitt Reese, both deceased. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam.  He retired from the State of North Carolina Road Crew and previously worked at Fieldcrest Mills and Miller Brewery.

He is survived by his son, Jay Reese and wife, Jennifer of Pelham; his daughter; Michelle Cass and husband, Eddie of Eden; his grandchildren, Brittany Cass (Dylan) and Hannah Reese and his Furbaby, Bandit.

In addition to his parents, Jackie was predeceased by his brother, Jimmy Reese.

The family will receive friends after the graveside service.
