Jacqueline Gilley Barker, 86, of Eden passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm Tuesday before the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Jackie was born in Spray on May 21, 1935, a daughter of Toby Gilley and Susie Keaton Gilley, both deceased.  She was retired from Morehead Memorial Hospital where she worked as a nurse's aide.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Belvin Junior Barker; her sisters, Eunice and Elaine; and her brothers, Pete, Bill, Paul and Emmett.

Jackie is survived by her children, Belvin Junior Barker and wife Sha Ping, Barry Eugene Barker and wife Marie, Bruce Anthony Barker and wife Wanda, Pam B. Carter and husband Tony, Cindi B. Reynolds and husband Robert, Denise B. Wade and husband Danny and Melissa B. Martinez; her 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
