James Walter Evans III, 57, passed away at UNC Rockingham Hospital on March 13, 2026.

James Walter Evans III was born on June 12, 1968, in Greensboro to Deborah Schoolfield Evans and James Evans II. James served his country in the US Army and worked with Goodyear. He is remembered as a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

James was predeceased by his mother.

James is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jennifer Craddock Evans; his children, Scotty Gauldin (Nicole) of Statesville, Amie Evans (Trey) of Mebane, NC, James Evans IV of Eden; his father, James Walter Evans, Sr of Reidsville; his brothers, Jason Evans of Stokesdale and Jonathan Evans of Pelham; his grandchildren, Autumn Church, Dean Gaulding, Ollie Gauldin, baby girl, Gauldin on the way; and his best friend, Michael Moore of Reidsville.
