James Michael Chumley, 72, of Eden passed away on Friday. September 20, 2024, at his residence.

There will be no services.

James was born in Leaksville on March 11, 1952, a son of Thomas Lester Chumley and Bessie Gibson Chumley, both deceased.  He retired from the Rockingham County School System.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Jack Chumley, Mildred Carter, Ralph Chumley, Faye Chumley and Florine Ward.

James is survived by his sisters, Kay Billingsley and Betty Sue VanHorn; his niece, Amanda Inge and his great niece, Energi.
